If you want to do a crit build, its totally viable in bg3. You can easily get over 100 damage per attack with a crit build in this game. I believe that taking 2 levels of paladin, and 10 levels in swords bard will get you the highest dpr (even though you could get 5% higher crit chance with 3 levels in champion fighter and another 5% with spell sniper).If neither of those two auras/paths appeals to you, the sorcadin split I would recommend is 6/6. Gives more spellslots, sorc level 6 feature etc. Probably devotion for sacred blade. Flat modifiers that stack with everything are always neat. For bardadin its a bit more complicated, because now you have magical secrets to think about.It still holds true for everything I've seen so far with a couple of exceptions. In BG3, spell slots for multi-classed characters now rounds up (instead of down) the half-caster levels. This means that Pal 6/Sorc 6 have the same slots as a Pal 7/Sorc 5. Also, some changes have been made to Storm Sorcerer, so it might be a strong multiclass option.
